Hyde Park is known for being a suburban area in an urban city- in fact, the neighborhood motto is "A Small Town in the City". The Neponset river runs along its middle, providing beautiful views and trails for residents. Since it is located on the southernmost point of the Boston area, it was considered to be fairly remote.
